I'm absolutely blown away.My father was chief electrician onboard this ship in the sixties, my mother and I sailed aboard her in 1966...I had my 5th birthday aboard, just off hong kong.
It's been a long time since your post but I also sailed on her as a child, a little earlier than you I think, 1963-1965 as my father was an officer on board (not sure which type and have no one to ask). Amazing!!
